24/01/09. Storrington & District. Sussex Police is in the process of setting up Neighbourhood Panels in each of their policing areas to try and look into and resolve particular issues that are affecting the local community. We are asking key people to become involved to voice concerns of their public. I would very much like you to join the Panel to represent your people and to bring your thoughts to the table. We will be holding these panels bi monthly and will try and address 3 issues each time. This is a joint venture which Sussex Police has started and we'd very much like you on board. I'm looking at Wed 4th February at 1030 hrs for the first meeting which will be in the Storrington and Sullington village hall. Subsequent meetings will be held at appropriate meeting places around the village in order that each group would not have to assume ownership of the venture. Look forward to hearing from you.

14/10/08. Storrington. Halloween is fast approaching and if you feel that your members would benefit from some ‘no trick or treat’ posters to display in their windows or doors, then Forge House in Church Street Storrington is the place to go. We will leave a supply there as we felt that this was a good central point for collection.

22/01/07 Dear Area Co-ordinators, It has recently come to my attention that if you wish to use the NHW logo on any literature that you wish to send out to NHW members you need to obtain a licence from the Home Office. This process is totally FREE and only takes a couple of minutes. You can register online at the following address http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/about-us/logos-branding/?version=2 . There is also a list of frequently asked questions available here: http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/about-us/logos-branding/nw-materials/click-and-use-nw-faqs/ . You may wish to bring this to the attention of your co-ordinators but I intend to also put a small article in the next edition of Crimewatch. Many thanks. Kathryn Hayhurst

Gatepost signs are now available from Sussex NHW at 50p per sign. Orders should be made to your local PCSO via your Area Co-ordinator. For more information click here.
